Shelter Pup – Mel
Mel believes in people. He loves people. In fact, the shelter staff calls Mel their ‘hunka, hunk of burnin’ love.” So, when the people he loved left Mel out in the record-breaking combination of snow and cold, Mel was sure it was a mistake. He searched, in the lonely country, for other people to help him.
Luckily, even though Mel is a big boy, the family in the house he approached saw that he was an 80-pound good boy. The strangers were kind enough to get Mel into the shelter. There, Mel found temporary love.
The shelter director said, “He’s such a character and so loving.” She explained, “He absolutely melts into you, sitting on your feet.” Mel hopes someone wants his unconditional love forever.
