Celtic, who’s only six months old, has learned so much, so quickly at the shelter. He learns because, like most pups with Labrador genes, Celtic wants to make people happy. The tilt of his head, in his photo, and the eyes that focus on the person talking to him show how much Celtic wants to understand and please.

So, to earn a smile and a pat on the head, Celtic has learned to leash walk and he’s approaching perfection on his house training. Celtic is, most crucially, demonstrating his personality. That may be the biggest blessing of adopting an older pup, instead of a puppy.
