Shelter Dog – Orsa
Orsa’s soulful eyes, looking out of her fluffy gentle face, make people want the big, sweet girl to be safe. So, when someone worried about Orsa’s and her companion, Bear’s, situation, the shelter got involved. In response to a cruelty complaint, in November the two perfectly leash-trained, giant Teddy bears lumbered into the shelter.
The 80-pound Great Pyrenees Orsa has been there, uncomplaining, totally affectionate, completely cooperative, for seven months. Their owner loved Orsa and Bear and would not relinquish ownership. So, they waited for their case to move through the court system.
Just recently, the court said that Orsa and Bear could go back home. Their owner decided that the shelter should keep them. Now, it’s time for Orsa to have a real life.
