Shelter Kitten – Eugene
At times, when he was even tinier than he is now, Eugene, who wears an appealing kitten-beard on his white face, must have felt as though he was a little too loved. The four-month-old, neutered kitten was born into a family with children. He learned to expect and welcome lots of attention, lots of well-intended handling.
Eugene probably learned to hide when necessary, too. But, based on how eager Eugene is to greet people, he probably didn’t hide very long or often.
In fact, at the shelter, Eugene seems to be looking for opportunities for attention. The shelter isn’t a sad place. It has toys, windows and kitten trees, but it never has enough visitors to give a formerly loved kitten the attention he deserves.
