Shelter Cat – Xanadu
Some cat advocates say that cats can find their own homes more successfully than well-meaning people ever could. That’s true if the cats have enough time. If an abandoned cat can avoid coyotes and cars, if she can keep from starving to death or getting hurt or ill, someone may see her pleading eyes and open a door.
Even a sheltered cat, like Xanadu, has a similar problem. The colorful, spayed, vaccinated calico is safe and fed, but she’s trying to stay appealing and hopeful until someone notices her. And Xanadu has another problem. She can’t peek in windows, looking for the happiest home. She needs to wait for people to visit the shelter.
Xanadu has been waiting a month for her chance to charm someone.
