Shelter Cat – Kalvin
The famous cat, Garfield, insisted he wasn’t fat. He was fluffy. Kalvin, a handsome, but no-longer-loved fellow could say the same thing. But in Kalvin’s case it’s true. He’s very small, weighing only seven pounds, under lots of gorgeous fluff, or, at least, fluff that would be gorgeous, if the neutered fellow had an easier life.
Kalvin is sweet and social. As a kitten, just 11 months ago, Kalvin must have been cuddled and pampered. It must have been devastating to Kalvin when that love ended. He must not have understood, any more than the shelter staff can, why his people threw him away outdoors.
Somehow, maybe because Kalvin looks bigger than he is, he survived his ordeal. Now Kalvin needs that nightmare to end.
