Shelter Pup – Copper
Author Wilson Rawls never forgot the Redbone Coonhounds who loved him when he was a child. He wrote about two such dogs in Where The Red Fern Grows. The dogs in the book saved their boy from a mountain lion, even knowing that they’d probably die in the battle. Copper, an 11-month-old Redbone pup, has that same level of love.
However, Copper hasn’t been conditioned for such a wild lifestyle. The neutered pup has taken the mellower, oversized lapdog path. Copper, with a sleek indoor-friendly coat, shows his love with a wagging tail and a strong desire to stay close.
Unfortunately, because of pet limits in his person’s mobile home park, Copper couldn’t stay close to his first love. Copper desperately wants to deeply feel love again.
