Koda was rejected for being who Mother Nature intended her to be, exactly what her ancestors’ owners wanted her to be. The 15-month-old, spayed, vaccinated, Feist Terrier mix is intelligent, alert and vibrating with energy and enthusiasm. She was meant to run and meant to chase. So, Koda can’t help herself. She chases squirrels when she sees them.

Usually, Koda is wonderful at listening to commands, but occasionally, like when a squirrel appears, she forgets some of her learning, especially since she’s still really a puppy. That’s predictable, something that many people who understand terriers would have expected, just by looking at Koda.

But Koda’s owners saw being a normal terrier as a fatal flaw. Koda hopes someone else sees lively camaraderie as desirably charming.
