Humans vary in their feelings about animals. Just ask poor, confused Jax. The 18-month-old pup spent lots of time with his lady. She was home, while her husband worked. Usually, the stay-at-home person adores a companion pup. They have conversations, one using words, the other using sparkling eyes, mobile, expressive ears and head tilts.

Typically, they bond, improving both lives. That didn’t happen for copper and white, funny-eared Jax. The woman he’d offered to adore said that, with her husband away, she didn’t want to bother with the gentleman called Jax.

The intelligent, eager-to-please, neutered pup must be wondering what he did wrong. The answer is: nothing. The shelter staff says Jax is a good boy. He deserves to live with someone who appreciates that.
