Aldric, a one-year-old, neutered, black Labrador Retriever, frequently seems to be looking for something, or someone. The Shelter’s staff, too, has been watching. Black Labs, who seem purebred and sweet, aren’t usually quickly forgotten. Usually someone calls or comes for them. The staff expected a reunion for Aldric. Each day that passes, the retrieval of the Retriever seems less likely.

The staff keeps seeking some reason, some fatal flaw in Aldric. All that they’ve seen is the fact that the social boy barks when he’s alone. Maybe that understandable separation anxiety was enough to make his people want Aldric to disappear.

But Aldric’s separation anxiety can be cured. There are techniques. Of course, the best technique is to accept and return the pup’s heartfelt love.
