Blaze, a 12-week-old, spayed kitten, looks like a blazing fire, but she’s even prettier to watch and, very soon, she’ll be much safer to touch. Right now, tiny Blaze is struggling to figure out what world she belongs in. Her mama taught her to be wild, terrified of people. But, for almost long enough, Blaze has been kindly treated by humans.

The kitten came to the shelter when she was still young enough to become tame. She’s been fed and touched. She’s watched other cats enjoy being petted and held. Blaze has even accepted head rubs herself.

However, she grumbles and hisses while she enjoys the petting. The confusion shows on her tiny face. Yet, Blaze is hissing less. She’s almost ready to go home.
