Shelter Cat – Maura
Eleven-month-old, spayed Maura is the shelter’s golden girl with golden fur, golden eyes and a heart of sweetness and gold. During her time in the shelter, Maura’s had a good news / bad news scenario. The good news is that Maura was inside the shelter during the stretches of horrible weather. Unlike some unlucky kitties who probably froze unnoticed, Maura survived.
The bad news is that the weather has kept people away from the shelter. Maura’s unmissable charm has been felt only by the staff, all of whom have their quota of pets. Normally Maura would have dazzled someone, been scooped into arms and carried home.
Instead, Maura is about to celebrate her first birthday with only a few other cats with the same problem.
